Concept, proofed!

It’s been 8 days since I hit the publish button on our survey and started sharing the link around community boards and our social network. We set a goal of 50 responses in the first 30 days, which honestly felt like a bit of a stretch. So imagine our surprise when we had over 100 responses in the first 24 hours, and over 250 responses in the first 48. Mind=blown. We got so many responses that we went over our monthly limit with our survey provider so it’s currently down until next month.

We are so grateful to everyone who completed and shared it. Thank you! There was so much we wanted to learn which meant the survey was on the lengthier side, and so it means a lot that so many folks took the time.

The purpose of the survey was to validate our overall concept and I’ll say that we are feeling * validated *. The results tell us that 98% of respondents are interested or very interested in having a business like The Greenroom in Irvington. The concept is proofed!

We also gathered great info on what folks love most about the community and what they feel is missing, which will help inform how we progress with our planning. Should we do a deep dive post about how we built our survey and the main themes we discovered? If you’re interested email us!

Next milestones include securing funding (this is a lot all by itself!), finding a location (also a big challenge), acquiring permits, locking in our brand, and a whole lot more. It is still very, very early days, but the response from the community has been beyond encouraging and we are on our way to making The Greenroom real!
